Google adds “try these too” feature to its image results

Earlier today Google has quietly added a new feature to its image search results, the “Try These Too” update adds the ability to view similar images once an image has been selected.

The image below shows the results when searching for “Graphitas” and selecting the first image from the results. Notice the thumbnail images under the heading “Try these too”.

Early investigation seems to suggest this maybe a soft launch as this feature doesn’t appear to be working in all browsers/browser versions, at time of writing Firefox and IE don’t appear to support this feature, however most versions of Safari and Chrome do.

Update 5th March 2013

It seems as though this is now working in all desktop browser versions.
