We are immersed in an age of digital where second screens (laptops, tablets and smartphones) meet the Web, and with it brings access to an endless stream of updateable live content. One of the biggest downfalls to this instant world is that the latest articles are soon pushed off the page to be replaced with the next hot topic. This does create an argument for the permanence of the printed word.

There is a world of print out there, and it is good to revisit the merits of print media and remind consumers that it still has an important place as a vital marketing tool.

Stand Out From The Crowd

There are lots of clever ways to create attention to your printed product. Adding effective printing effects such as Foil Stamping, Spot UV or Spot Varnishing, Matt Lamination, Die Cutting and Embossing will greatly increase the perceived value of any print material. And any of these effects will add that ‘Wow’ factor, helping it jump out from the competition.

Increase the Longevity of Your Brochure

It is a known fact that people dislike throwing away lovely things, and you can take advantage of this by applying printing effects to make your print more memorable and more likely to be saved from the shredder. Of course, you can use these effects on other printed material such as Folders, Direct Mailings, Postcards and of course Business Cards.

It’s Not Beyond your Budget!

Believe it or not, using any of these effects can be very cost effective depending on quantity and coverage (size of area) used. It is doubtful you would add, for example, Spot UV to a poster because of the limited shelf life and it is not something you would touch or feel. But a Brochure or Business Card, on the other hand, is a great use of this type of effect. Not only are people more likely to hang on to it because of the quality, but in turn, they are more likely to remember you, and to hopefully one day use your product or service.

In Summary…

First impressions count, and in a world so heavily influenced by the internet, allocating budget and spending a little more on your printing could be the difference between gaining that new customer………or not!
